Role Purpose

The Country Manager for the Benelux Market will be responsible for driving the growth and profitability of the Holiday Extras business in the Benelux regions. This includes managing operations, developing and implementing a localised growth strategy, optimising supply and partnerships, and ensuring seamless integration with the broader European business. The role requires strong leadership, market knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including supply partners, customers, and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a localised growth strategy for the Benelux market, aligned with our overall EU strategic objectives.

  • Identify and prioritise growth opportunities, including new supply and distribution  partnerships, marketing initiatives, and customer and product experience improvements.

  • Provide leadership for cross-functional teams, ensuring a collaborative approach to achieving goals.

Supply Management

  • Optimise the supply portfolio by identifying and contracting best-margin parking locations across key airports.

  • Regularly audit supply to ensure quality and competitiveness.

  • Negotiate contracts and maintain strong relationships with parking providers.

  • Work closely with the Airparks team to explore sublets and other opportunities with partners to maximise revenue generation from Quick Parking  sites.

B2C Trading and Marketing

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute targeted SEA, SEO, and direct digital marketing campaigns.

  • Monitor key performance metrics such as bookings, revenue, and customer acquisition and operating costs.

  • Develop strategies to increase direct bookings and market share in the B2C segment.

  • Support branding, logistics, and product development initiatives tailored for the Dutch market.

  • Run B2C weekly trading sessions, ensuring all data and analysis are prepared in advance and actions for change documented and delivered.

B2B Partnerships

  • Work closely with the relevant members of the Partnerships Team to build and manage relationships with B2B partners, including travel agents, corporate clients, and aggregators.

  • Develop and capitalise on one-off B2B booking opportunities such as local trade fairs and corporate events.

  • Work closely with the New Business development team to Identify and pursue strategic partnerships to drive growth and expand the market footprint.

Operational Excellence

  • Oversee the integration of new supply into the platform.

  • Ensure localised platform features such as translations, payment options, and landing pages are optimised for the Benelux and cross-border markets.

  • Work closely with customer support teams to address market-specific needs and enhance service levels.

Financial and Data Management

  • Develop and manage the Benelux market P&L, ensuring revenue and profitability targets are met.

  • Monitor and analyse market performance, providing insights and recommendations to drive growth.

  • Ensure financial processes such as supplier payments and commission collection are efficient and accurate.

  • Collaborate with finance operations to ensure robust compliance with local financial requirements.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary point of contact for Benelux market partners, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

  • Represent the company at industry events, forums, and meetings to enhance brand visibility and relationships.

  • Maintain close working relationships with key service providers such as transport companies and outsourced customer support providers.

  • Present country performance and strategic plans to a wide group of executive stakeholders at monthly EU trading and quarterly EU performance circle.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of the travel industry and the Benelux market.

  • Proven experience in contract negotiation, supply chain management, and B2B/B2C business models.

  • Data-driven decision-making and ability to interpret performance metrics.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence internal and external stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in Dutch and English.

Strategic Thinking and Problem-Solving

  • Ability to think strategically while maintaining a hands-on approach to operational challenges.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role within the parking, travel, or transportation industry.

  • Languages: Fluency in Dutch and English.
